The problem with free PLR is that you are now competing with thousands of other people who also own the rights to the same content. Now you will have thousands of the same content and variations of it spread all over the internet. Your advantage to the search engines is completely dissolved. The Google spiders will pass by your content without a wink because it's not unique. The best thing about it is that to your visitors the PLR content will most likely be unique and you don't even have to change it up. By all means you should change the title and possibly the graphics to give it a more unique look, but you don't have to change the content within ' as long as you feel like it will benefit the visitor and fulfill what their looking for ' then it's a job well done.
